Chaplaincy

Pastoral Care and Chaplaincy

We have a Chaplaincy Team which works to develop our liturgy and share it with you. It also aims to involve the different cultures in the school and improve home, school and parish liaison. Year 3 Children are encouraged to prepare for the sacraments. We are able to arrange Rainbows bereavement support for children with trained staff.  Mrs Ward is our school Chaplain and coordinates Rainbows and school masses.  She is always available to support children and parents.

In 2007 we developed a prayer area called the Hosanna room.  This provides a peaceful and prayerful space for children and adults to meet.  Prayer meetings in the mornings are organised on a voluntary basis by a group of parents.

We support our Deanery by participating in Deanery Masses and events.  In the summer the Bedford Federation of Catholic Schools has a Summer Fayre which is a fun packed event for all four schools to celebrate together.

We believe that as a Catholic School it is our mission to provide the highest quality pastoral care and chaplaincy for our community.
