Message from the Chair of Governors of the

Federation of Catholic Schools in Bedford

Thank you for your interest in our school.  At St John Rigby it is our aim to give your child the very best start to his or her education.  The school community of teaching and support staff are all dedicated to achieve this aim and I know your child will soon settle into the life of the school.

Since September 2006 the Catholic Schools in Bedford have been working closely together in a Federation with a single Governing Body.  This is an exciting time for Catholic education in the town.  A system of education that begins at 4 years old and develops to age 19, under one group of governors and will provide continuity for your child throughout their school life. The Governors of the Federation work closely with staff and meet regularly throughout the academic year to support the school in its objectives, and the views of parents are represented at these meetings by our Parent Governors.

I do hope you will find this prospectus informative.  St John Rigby is a happy and caring place where your child can learn and grow within a strong Christian ethos.
