Maths

We believe that Mathematics is a creative and essential part of the curriculum.  Mathematics is a critical means of communication, a powerful tool enabling us to find answers to problems and puzzles.

Our aim is for children to be confident and competent mathematicians through practical learning and enthusiastic teaching.  All classes will use work based on the National Numeracy Strategy.  Each lesson lasts for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

We aim to develop an appreciation of number, space and pattern and develop an awareness of the basic structure of mathematics.  Most of all we encourage the mathematics to be fun.
