School Results & OFSTED

School Performance
The school has had another super year maintaining the positive results at Key Stage 1.
At Key Stage 1 (end of Year 2) children are tested in reading, writing and numeracy.  The school is judged against the percentage of pupils who achieve Level 2 and above.  This is compared nationally and for school purposes we compare our results to similar schools.  We have not as yet got national results but can show the last few years' results to demonstrate our fantastic school improvement.  (In 2003 we were in line or slightly below national averages. We are now above and in line in some areas.)

We have welcomed a number of pupils from overseas in year 2 and across the school and they have all settled very well.  Learning English does take some time and this does affect overall standards in reading and writing.  However, we are delighted that we have been able to maintain high standards.

Throughout the school the children have embraced a learning ethos which makes them proud to achieve.  We look forward to sustaining these levels of achievement.
