ANTI BULLYING WEEK: SPECIAL REPORT

Socks, Balloons and a great deal more

Pupils from SJR have had a week of activities this week (13th - 17th November) which have centred on the theme of this year's Anti-Bullying message, "All Different All Equal". Mrs. Downer launched the week with a special assembly. Pictured below are the children arriving in assembly with their odd socks. The school council members continued the spirit of the occasion throughout breaks and lunch. They wore high vis vests and promoted positive play in the playgrounds.

Finally, on Friday, the whole school community gathered together on the KS2 playground for our balloon launch. The children attached personal messages to their class balloon which reflected the message of the week. These included messages like "You are unique, you are special; don't let anyone dull your sparkle" and "Don't change; you are beautiful". There were great cheers as the balloons took off as seen below:
