WEAR SOMETHING BRIGHT FOR STAFF MARATHON WALKERS

"Wear Something Bright" Day at St John Rigby this Friday (22nd September) to raise funds for Cancer.

On Saturday 23rd September, 13 members of St John Rigby staff will be taking part in the Shine Night Walk – Full London Marathon in order to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

This is a cause that is very close to the heart of our school, its staff and community and so far, as a team, we have raised over £3500.

We would like to invite the pupils to join in with our fundraising on Friday 22nd September. For a donation (recommendation £1) the children will be able to come into school wearing ‘something bright’. We ask that pupils still wear their usual uniform but accessorise it with something brightly coloured (e.g. bright head wear/cap, hairbands/bows, trainers/shoes) joining in with staff who will also be wearing something bright for the day.

Every single pound donated makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so we hope lots of pupils will be able to help us in raising money for this worthwhile cause.

Should you wish to make a private donation, you can access our fundraising page at:

Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure.

We look forward to seeing pupils shining bright on this day and we will keep you posted of our success via the school’s Facebook page.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support.
