The curriculum at St John Rigby is designed to support development of the whole child. As pupils progress through the school, they are developed as learners, recognising their God given talents and celebrating themselves as unique individuals who can be the difference they want to be in the world.
Our curriculum is mapped clearly to ensure that pupils are able to know more and remember more by revisiting and building on prior learning. Learning is sequenced to allow pupils to make progress in knowledge, skills and understanding during their journey through and across year groups. This enables them to fulfil the aim of knowing more, remembering more and being able to do more at the end of each phase of learning.
Please look at the curriculum details for each year group, which includes an overview of learning and a termly curriculum map. These detail the key aspects of the curriculum pupils will be studying and how learning can be supported at home.
